Terms and Conditions/Privacy for the Guardian App

Welcome to Guardian, a mobile application designed to support first responders and related professionals through fitness, wellness, and peer resources. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our app or services.

By downloading, accessing, or using Guardian, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Overview

Guardian (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides fitness, nutrition, and wellness content tailored for first responders. Our goal is to offer a safe, secure, and supportive experience — without selling or misusing your personal information.

2. User Accounts

  • To use certain features, you may be required to create an account.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating or updating your account.

3. Data Privacy & Protection

Your privacy is extremely important to us.

  • No Sale of Data: We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

  • Limited Data Use: We only use your information to operate, improve, and personalize your experience within Guardian.

  • Third-Party Services: If Guardian uses third-party tools (e.g., analytics or cloud storage), they are required to comply with privacy and data protection standards consistent with this policy.

  • Security: We use encryption and secure storage practices to protect your data.

4. User Control & Data Deletion

You are in control of your data.

  • You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal information at any time.

  • To delete your data, go to Settings → Delete Account, or email us at firepd@guardianfirstresponder.com.

  • Once deleted, your information will be permanently removed from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate safety/security purposes.

5. Content & Community Use

  • Users may submit workouts, recipes, or wellness content (“User Content”).

  • By submitting content, you grant Guardian a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and share that content within the app community.

  • You remain the owner of your content.

  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates community guidelines or applicable laws.

6. Disclaimer

Guardian provides fitness and wellness information for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice.
Always consult a qualified health professional before beginning any exercise, nutrition, or wellness program.

7. Limitation of Liability

Guardian and its developers are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the use or inability to use the app, except where prohibited by law.

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect improvements or changes in legal requirements.
You will be notified of any significant updates, and continued use after notice means you accept the revised Terms.
